FOUNDERS
Darko & Theresa
Darko was born in Karlovac, Croatia. While pursuing his medical studies, he spent his summers as a tour guide, guiding travelers through various European countries. After meeting his wife, Theresa, he wanted to share his love of Europe with her. Theresa fell in love with the culture, history, and experiences of Croatia after visiting Darko. She wanted to share her experience as a tourist, so AdventuresTo was born.
As a family, they relished discovering new destinations, immersing themselves in the great outdoors, hiking, biking, and seeking out off-the-beaten-path experiences. Darko became the go-to person for their friends' travel itineraries, who were eager to visit Croatia and sought his advice on the best places to explore, which made the decision to found the travel business an easy one.
OPERATING OFFICER OF EUROPE
Josip
Meet Josip, the operating officer of Europe for AdventuresTo and fellow native of Karlovac, Croatia. As the nephew of Darko and Theresa, he has been closely involved with the company since its founding and has personally experienced all of the adventures and activities that AdventuresTo offers. His knowledge extends beyond the tourist destinations; he's the chief operating officer in Croatia, so you can expect informed recommendations on lesser-known places to visit, local cuisine to savor, and unique experiences to cherish while on your AdventuresTo trip.
Josip's love for Croatia is not limited to his professional life. He is a proud father to his daughter, Sara, with whom he shares a mutual appreciation for their homeland and all the wonders that it holds. Together, they explore the hidden gems of Croatia, fostering a deep connection to their heritage.
